As a young kid, Daniel was obsessed with Larger than Life from Batman, Superman, X-men, KISS, Alice Cooper, Ozzy Osbourne and WWE's The Undertaker. It was all his “escape” from school. In 3rd grade, a bully got him to step on a sewer lid causing him to fall into the sewer drain and almost die! In 4th grade, he was called a “Satanic Worshiper” by some of the faculty just for drawing a picture of Gene Simmons. After those incidents, he became anti-social, wore all black and grew out his hair just to scare the students and teachers. After a while, they became interested in who he was instead of shunning him away, which sowed the “seed” for Daniel to create “Damien Reaper.”

Cutting back to 1998, a school friend of Daniel’s named Andy Becker, best known now as “The Creep” at The Dent Schoolhouse, brought him to Dungeons of Delhi Haunted House (now known as The Dungeon Haunted Attraction) where he met David Espich and Joe Middendorf, the co-owners of the haunt. The “Funeral Parlor” needed actors and Daniel, Andy and other friends jumped on the chance. With Dan's obsession with The Undertaker, Gene Simmons and Alice Cooper, he created a character that shared traits of all 3. The Eyes of the Dead, Tongue of the Demon and Presence of The Shock Rocker. He called himself Damien Reaper... Just a year later, Haunt Reviewer and Historian Randy Schadel from House of Doom spot-lighted him along with Legend “Bludzo T Klown.” Then Damien met his longtime friend Dan "Fatso" Leopold who started in 2003, but became Fatso in 2005. He was also on the local news and featured in newspapers.

In 2007, Damien left The Dungeons of Delhi and it was time to move on to The Dent Schoolhouse. After guest acting for Dent Schoolhouse and USS Nightmare in 2006, Bud Stross, Josh Wells and Chuck Stross led a group of actors like Damien, Bludzo, Fatso, Calliope, Helldrake and more to, over time, becoming #1 in Ohio, the Midwest and, eventually, the Nation. Damien continued to be featured in newspapers, local news, podcasts and, in 2011, Travel Channel's “Halloween Crazy.” After the personal tragedy of losing all 4 of his Grandparents, a family friend from 07-12 and other family and friends issues, Damien left the Dent Schoolhouse in November 2013 to try to take a break.

In March of 2014, Damien made the video “The Damned One,” written by Dan Ruwan. And thanks to Mark and Matt from Dungeons of Delhi and Dan Leopold who would recruit Damien to MAUL lead by Jim Millspaugh and Jason Henry, the group of actors and actresses who also moved on from The Dent Schoolhouse with their own views to help and travel to many haunted houses, this drew spark to the passion of “Damien Reaper.”

Then, in early 2015, Jason Henry passed away. The Family kept strong and still keeps going today in his honor.
